No abre el programa: 'The system cannot find the path specified' (EOIException)

Error
El mensaje: "Exception EOIException in module TWWxx.exe at 000FFC61. The system cannot find the path specified." (xx = año del programa).

Qué pasó: el ícono del escritorio apunta a una ruta que ya no existe (se movió el programa, se instaló en otro disco, cambió la unidad de red…). El programa está bien; el que está roto es el atajo.

Solución — volver a crear el ícono:
  1. Abre el disco donde está instalado TaxWise y busca la carpeta UTSxx (xx = año de 2 dígitos, ej. C:\UTS25).
  2. Dentro, busca el archivo twwxx.exe (mismo año, ej. tww25.exe) y hazle clic derecho.
  3. Windows 10: Send to → Desktop (create shortcut).
    Windows 11: primero Show More Options, y ahí Send to → Desktop (create shortcut).
Nota: el ícono aparece en el escritorio como twwxx.exe - Shortcut. Si quieres cambiarle el nombre, clic derecho → Rename.

🇺🇸 Program will not open: 'The system cannot find the path specified' (EOIException)

The message: "Exception EOIException in module TWWxx.exe at 000FFC61. The system cannot find the path specified." (xx = program year).

What happened: the desktop icon points to a path that no longer exists (the program was moved, installed on another drive, the network drive changed…). The program itself is fine; the shortcut is what is broken.

Fix — recreate the icon:
  1. Open the drive where TaxWise is installed and find the UTSxx folder (xx = 2-digit year, e.g. C:\UTS25).
  2. Inside it, find twwxx.exe (same year, e.g. tww25.exe) and right-click it.
  3. Windows 10: Send to → Desktop (create shortcut).
    Windows 11: click Show More Options first, then Send to → Desktop (create shortcut).
Note: the icon shows up on the desktop as twwxx.exe - Shortcut. To change the name, right-click → Rename.
